PLMA host Wildlife Estates and Buglife for their Baseline your Pollinator Life workshop
In September 2022 Easter Bavelaw Farm hosted the Wildlife Estates pollinator workshop with Buglife. The workshop focussed on how as farmers and citizen scientists we can baseline and record pollinators in the Pentlands adding to both local and global data sets.
Buglife lead the workshop, starting with an introduction and identification seminar followed by an inspiring practical workshop. This took us through the methodology and introduced us to the app whilst testing our identification skills. A great group of land managers from throughout Scotland attended.
The weather was kind to us for our pollinator monitoring workshop yesterday…thanks to Easter Bavelaw for hosting and for the expertise from Buglife. Aside from the #pollinators, we were also treated to numerous arachnid species and also an Osprey catching its lunch!Caroline Pringle, Wildlife Estates Scotland
